Asa Tittle is a young boy who lives in Little Rock, Arkansas.
On April 27th, 2014, the Tittle home was destroyed by an EF4 tornado, killing Asa’s father Rob and his two sisters; Tori and Rebekah.
Asa learned to process his grief, along with his mother, through the story of a platypus named Flippers.
“Flippers didn’t feel right inside. He didn’t feel like he was Flippers. He felt like he was someone else. The news had left him scared and with many strange emotions that he hadn’t felt before. They seemed to be bubbling up inside of him, and he didn’t know what to do with them.”
Flippers doesn’t shy away from the difficult questions and confusing moments that grief entails.
Offering wise counsel and comfort to those suffering by sharing the Gospel and the goodness of God, even and especially, through the most difficult of times.
“Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of mercies and God of all comfort, who comforts us in all our affliction, so that we may be able to comfort those who are in any affliction, with the comfort with which we ourselves are comforted by God.” ~ 2 Corinthians 1:3-4
Flippers is an invaluable aid to provide comfort, patience and truth for those experiencing profound loss while pointing to Christ.
